How to fill the Able Launch Bar by shortcuts?

For using the Able Launch Bar fill it with shortcuts to folders and files that are used frequently. The easiest way to copy shortcut from the desktop to the Able Launch Bar is to use drag and drop. And the easiest way to explain drag and drop is by doing it! To drag the shortcut from the desktop and drop it inside any of Able Launch Bar folders (for example "Games"), do the following:

  • Click on desktop shortcut once with the left hand mouse button.
  • The shortcut will be highlighted.
  • Keep you left hand mouse button held down.
  • Move your mouse around the screen. You should see a faint outline of the folder moving with your mouse.
  • Now move the desktop shortcut over the top of the folder called "Games". (Still with your left mouse button held down!).
  • Let go of your left mouse button.
  • The desktop shortcut will have been copied to "Games" folder.
  • If you would like to copy the desktop shortcut to main folder of the Able Launch Bar let go of your left mouse button when shortcut is not over the top of any folder.

How to dock the Able Launch Bar?

The Able Launch Bar can be dragged to a screen edge to dock to that screen edge. In this way, the user can be given full control over which screen edge the toolbar docks itself to.

For moving the Able Launch Bar from floating state to docking state:

  • Click on any plase of Able Launch Bar once with the left mouse button.
  • Keep you left hand mouse button held down.
  • Move your mouse around the screen. You should see a faint outline of the Able Launch Bar moving with your mouse.
  • Now move the Able Launch Bar to desktop right edge (for example).
  • Let go of your left hand mouse button.
The Able Launch Bar will have been docked to desktop right edge.

For moving the Able Launch Bar from docking state to floating state:
  • Click on any plase of Able Launch Bar once with the left mouse button.
  • Keep you left hand mouse button held down.
  • Move your mouse around the screen. You should see a faint outline of the Able Launch Bar moving with your mouse.
  • Now move the Able Launch Bar from desktop right edge (for example).
  • Let go of your left hand mouse button.
The Able Launch Bar will have been undocked to desktop right edge.

How to scroll the Able Launch Bar?

There are upper and lower scrolling triangles. They appear automatically when scrolling is being enabled. To scroll down (for example) move mouse cursor to lower triangle. Lower triangle will be highlighted. The scrolling down will start. To stop the scrolling move mouse cursor from the triangle.

Click on the any place on the Able Launch Bar with your left mouse button and drag it left or right on your desktop.

How to resize the Able Launch Bar window?

To resize the window, place the mouse cursor on a window edge. Resize the window by dragging its edges until it fills the size you want. Never resized a window before?

  • Without holding the mouse button down, slowly move the mouse back and forth across the edge of the window.
  • Go right past the edge until you're over the Desktop and then move back.
  • When the cursor turns into a double-sided arrow, click and hold down the mouse button and drag the mouse to the left or right.
  • When you release the button, your window will take on its new size.

Try it with the top or bottom edge or even the corners of the window until you get it just the size you want.

How to access the Popup menu?

Simply click once with your right mouse button on the Able Launch bar. A popup menu appears.

How to Create a New Folder?

Click once with your right mouse button on the Able Launch bar. A popup menu appears. Click the item "New Folder" once with your left mouse button. A New folder will be created in current folder. New Folder will be highlighted. Rename it.

How to Rename a Folder or a File (Shortcut)?

  • Click the folder (or file) once with your left mouse button. The folder (or file) will be highlighted.
  • Click the folder (or file) name with your left mouse button. Folder name (or file name) will be highlighted.
  • It's highlighted so that you can rename it. Type in a new name for your folder (file).
  • Press Enter key or click once with your Left mouse button on the Able Launch Bar.

How to Delete a Folder or a File (Shortcut)?

  • Click once with your right mouse button on the folder (or file) you would like to delete. A popup menu appears.
  • Click the item "Delete" once with your left mouse button.
  • The folder (or file) will be deleted.
